Equipment

Cinco de Mayo, 2004
Oaks Convention Center

My largest setup can provide
30,000 watts of 3-way active stereo sound reinforcement, enough for up to 1,200
people in most musical applications and a crowd of up to 2,000 people for
speeches/vocal presentations. It can also be split into two independent
club-size systems suitable for a few hundred people each.
My goal four years ago was to build not necessarily the
cheapest, most expensive, or the "biggest" collection of equipment, but to build a system that
was good. Today, the system IS pretty big (relatively speaking), and
it's built on good components. At the heart of my
system is an LS9-32 Yamaha Digital Mixer, probably the best-sounding small-format mixer in the area.
I have 16 of JBL's top SRX series speakers, including 8 dual-18" subs. I use 8 power amps from the QSC
PLX and Crest 9200 lines to provide 34,800 watts of power.
However, having good equipment is only part of the equation.
I believe you are only as good as your last show, and so I take achieving a high quality
of sound - on every single show - very seriously. I have hundreds of shows
under my belt and am often asked to provide consulting services to improve existing PA systems.
I would love the opportunity to work with you.

The List
Updated April 1, 2010
I'm always adding to my
inventory so this is only a reference - if you require something not on this list, such as closed or broadcast
video and screens, or any large or unique requirements, I have working relationships with several regional production
companies that enable me to find, rent, subcontract, or buy most anything you need
while providing a single technical point of contact for your event.
